Hudson Taylor

During his senior season wrestling for the University of Maryland, Hudson Taylor competed with the Human Rights Campaign logo adhered to his headgear. Both because he is straight and descends from a long line of prolific evangelical missionaries, Taylor’s brazen stance for equality quickly garnered much media attention. When we asked him, ‘Why?’, Hudson shrugged off the need to explain with a smile. Now a wrestling coach at Columbia University while training for a spot on the U.S. Olympic and World teams, Hudson continues to fight for LGBT rights with his non-profit, Athlete Ally, and his blog, whydoyoufight.org.
